  • Assist the Medical Staff Office with administrative support for hospitalists program and assist Sleep Center as necessary. To be a resource to other departments throughout the hospital. Maintain confidentiality of a variety of subject matters

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administrative Assistant: Responsible for providing administrative support to hospitalists program and Sleep Center to include greeting visitors, answering phones, filing, database maintenance, calendar/scheduling, planning and organizing events, attending meeting, tracking attendance, and completion of necessary paperwork.
  • Responsible for completing credentialing paperwork for physicians accordingly to deadline and maintaining accurate physician files.
  • Responsible for assisting in preparing, transcribing, reviewing for accuracy and assembling of document and reports prior to distribution.
  • Assist hospitalists with pre and post discharge activities, death certificates, and physician records.
  • Ability to interact directly with physician, patients, referring physicians, and hospital departments.
  • All corespondence contains highly sensitive and confidential data, must demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Responsible for managing both inbound and outbound calls for the hospitalists program and Sleep Center.
  • Responsible for attending meetings to take minutes or provide administrative support as necessary.
  • Maintain department database(s).
  • Must possess strong time management skills to meet time sensistve deadlines.
  • Responsible for triaging physician concerns brought to employee either formally or informally to department Director in a professional and timely manner for follow up.
  • Responsible for complying with all applicable hospital and departmental policies and procedures, including, but not limited to: all departmental and functional policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for supporting the goals and objectives of the department.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Level of Education
    • Minimum: High School Diploma
      •  
    • Preferred: Associates degree in health related field or other related field.

  • Level of Experience
    • Minimum: At least two years of administrative / office support duties
      •  
    • Preferred: 2 years of office management in a healthcare environment with working knowledge of data base management, Microsoft office applications.
