Shifts available between: 6:30 am and 8 pm

Added shift pay after 3pm: 10% / Weekends 20%

As a member of the healthcare team here at Riverview Health, the Food and Nutrition Utility/Receiving Associate demonstrates active patient advocacy to ensure all rights are identified and met for every patient. The Food and Nutrition Utility/Receiving Associate encompasses all duties relating to providing exemplary customer service at Riverview Health. Outstanding customer service skills and understanding of confidentiality and productivity are required by the Food and Nutrition Utility/Receiving Associate.

Job Responsibilities: 

Food and Nutrition Utility/Receiving Associate:

  • Dish machine set-up/maintenance/chemicals
  • Comply with regulatory standards-dish machine rinse/final rinse temps, testing of sanitizer solution and documenting results.
  • Triple sink standards-prep, scrap, soak, wash, rinse, sanitize, air dry
  • Clean dishes, food carts, pots and pans, silverware, and other kitchen tools in sanitary fashion.
  • Responsible for the sanitation and organization of the cart/recycle room and recycle bins
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, organization in all kitchen areas.
  • Able to take direction from Lead to perform required duties with little direction.
  • Floor Stock-Assist in stocking pantries in different units by utilizing a par level list and tracking device for billing purposes. FIFO (First In, First Out)
  • Must have the physical ability to push tray carts to the different patient access areas of the hospital. These physical requirements account for lifting or pushing of up to 50 pounds.
  • Receiving –responsible for putting away food and supply deliveries in the appropriate areas. FIFO
  • Responsible for all department rules according to the policies and procedures in the employee handbook. These policies include attendance and tardiness compliance, proper uniform usage, and sanitation and safety guidelines.
  • Flexible to participate in a variety of kitchen duties.
  • Delivers a customer focused experience and participates an in a teamwork environment.

Job Requirements

 Food and Nutrition Associate Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum Experience: 6 months or more in a restaurant, food service, r healthcare industry.
  • Preferred: One or more year pf food service, utility, stock, or housekeeping experience.
