As a member of the healthcare team here at Riverview Health, the Respiratory Therapist demonstrates active patient advocacy to ensure all rights are identified and met for every patient. The Respiratory Therapist encompasses all duties relating to providing exemplary patient care services at Riverview Health. Outstanding customer service skills and understanding of confidentiality and productivity are required by the Respiratory Therapist.
Respiratory Therapist Job Functions:
- Establish a plan of Respiratory Care based on identified patient needs
- Initiate accurate and ongoing assessment of respiratory patient needs
- Administer humidification and airway management
- Initiate and monitor mechanical ventilation
- Administer oxygen, aerosolized medication and treatments

Job Requirements
Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements:
- Minimum Education: Completion of an appropriate Respiratory program, certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care and current Indiana State license.
- Preferred Experience: 1 or more years of Critical Care experience.
- Other Requirements: BLS. RCP, and Indiana State license
- ACLS, PALS. NRP completed within 6 months of employment.
