POSITION SUMMARY
- Performs patient examinations as a staff technologist in Diagnostic X-Ray or other areas as required.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be attentive to scheduling and work within allotted time provided for procedures.
- If needed, must archive daily information into computer.
- Must keep records of examinations performed.
- Must provide for the emotional and physical comfort and safety or patient.
- Must observe and report general physical and mental condition of patients for signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change.
- Must provide a clean and safe environment.
- Supervises students as required.
- Must provide monthly statistics as required, and contribute to QA and CQI.
- Must perform other related duties as designated by the Supervisor.
- Must comply with all applicable policies and procedures, including, but not limited to: all departmental and functional policy and procedure, maintaining acceptable attendance records, arriving for duty punctually, and following dress code.
- Must participate in performance improvement activities as requested.
- Must assume information management responsibilities.
- Must have knowledge and skills pertinent to the functional approach to patient care.
- Must perform duties as an active member of the healthcare team.
- Must demonstrate a knowledge of team dynamics and contribute to team building and skills related to participation in and strengthening of the multidisciplinary team approach to the delivery of patient care.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Is responsible for making independent and sound decisions in providing care including recognizing a life threatening situations and engaging a physician.
- Uses independent judgement in setting priorities.
- Must set priorities for self and others.
- Must assess patient's needs and determine appropriate interventions.
- Must be able to verbalize when tasks need to be delegated to other staff members.
- Requires the ability to work independently and make sound judgements with minimal supervision.
- Must exercise judgement in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures to assure compliance with state, federal, and local requirements.

Job Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Level of Education
- Minimum: Graduate of an approved Joint Review Committee on Education (JRCERT) in Radiologic Technology
- Preferred: American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) - CT
- Other: American Registry Radiologic Technology - Radiology

Level of Experience - Minimum: Radiology or Computed Tomography experience
- Preferred: Computed Tomography - 6 months experience

- State Issued License - Yes
- CPR - Yes
- ACLS - N/A
- PALS - N/A
- Type of Specialty Certification or other Licensure, if required: - American Registry of Radiologic Technology - Radiology
