Clinical Supervisor Medical Office OB

The Clinical Supervisor for the OB Medical Office oversees daily operations of the physician practices including clerical, clinical and inventory functions. The Clinical Supervisor directs on-site office clinical staff in coordination with the physician practice manager.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Determine appropriate office clinical staffing levels and schedule necessary coverage.
- Participate in the selection and training of all support staff. Assess skills of clinical staff and provide orientation and training to new clinical staff. Participate in performance improvement activities as requested.
- Supervise the performance of all clinical support staff and maintain staff attendance records.
- Demonstrate a high degree of independent access to confidential patient, organization, salary and other financial information and maintain strict confidentiality of such records and information. Ensure rights are identified and met for every patient.
- Coordinate and maintain medical and clerical supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate office facility needs (e.g. maintenance and repairs).
- Actively demonstrate and model principles of infection prevention, reduction and controls appropriate for the medical office setting.
- Assess and document patient condition to the specifications of the physician/provider and written policies and procedures.
- Perform telephone triage, communicate and adjudicate physician/provider orders and provide timely and accurate medical documentation of actions taken.
- Perform phlebotomy, administer injections, immunizations and other special procedures. Arrange diagnostic testing, specialist appointments and hospital admissions.

Job Requirements:
Level of Education
- Minimum: Associate of Practical Nursing from an accredited program
- Preferred: Associate degree in Nursing (ASN)
Level of Experience
- Minimum: Two (2) years recent experience as an RN or LPN
- Preferred: Service in a supervisory or lead role and experience in a medical office setting.
License and Certification Requirements
- Licensed RN or LPN eligible to practice in the state of Indiana by date of hire into the position
- Current Basic Life Safety (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
