Riverview Health is a multi-facility healthcare delivery system located in Hamilton County, Indiana. Founded in 1909, it was the first hospital in the County and is currently one of the largest employers with over 1,500 dedicated professionals. Riverview Health has grown considerably since 2018 to include an additional hospital, three free-standing ER/Urgent care facilities and the addition of several new specialty practices.


  • The Decision Support Manager, under the direction of the Director of Finance, manages and coordinates the financial and operational analysis, cost accounting, benchmarking and management reporting of Riverview Health.

Responsible for the administration of the decision support software to include Strata and Premier.

Manage the maintenance of the software involving collaboration with IT Department and the software vendor. Ensure updates, changes, and validation of continued accuracy of data.

Required to share and relay information with the leadership team regarding changes that may affect any current financial strategies. Provide actionable data and analyses to various managers across the organization.

Develop and maintain the company rolling financial forecast and generate reports to provide early warning indicators of financial risks and opportunities.

Provide insight financial analysis and commentary on monthly and quarterly financial results to management and key stake holders.

Perform Data Validation and Quality Assurance to ensure data consistency with the various source systems.

Manage and contribute to operational improvement and strategic growth projects.

Manage and lead a Decision Support Analyst on developing forecasting and analysis of financial models that meet the goals of the finance leadership team.

Work closely with leadership in the finance department to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their financial management process.

Provide support as needed for department Director.

Maintain up to date knowledge in financial principle.

Job Requirements:


  • Level of Education
    • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent.
    • Preferred: Master's Degree and or Master’s level coursework in relevant discipline (i.e
      accounting, health administration, etc.) preferred including knowledge of statistical methodology.

  • Level of Experience
    • Minimum: 5 or more years’ experience in finance or accounting.
    • At least 2 years professional experience in healthcare decision support.
    • Experience in Cost Accounting and supervisory experience required
    • Preferred Experience with Strata and Premier Software platforms.
